Our Upcoming Events
Our regular Ghost Walks take place every two weeks in Wakefield, with alternate weeks exploring the haunted streets and hidden history of Pontefract. Each walk is packed with chilling tales, local legends and fascinating historical stories, making every event a unique experience.
Alongside our regular walks, we also host a range of special events throughout the year. Previous favourites have included the Murder Walk, Secrets of the Black Horse, and our ever-popular Halloween Special.

Wakefield Ghost Walk
Join The Curator for an unforgettable journey through Wakefield's haunted past. Beginning at The Black Horse, your evening starts with a light bite of pizza before venturing into the city's shadowy streets.
Over approximately 90 minutes, you'll uncover chilling tales of ghosts, murder, mystery and folklore, enhanced by authentic relics connected to the stories, moments of magical intrigue, and exclusive access to a genuinely haunted location. The experience concludes at The Old Vicarage, leaving you with plenty to ponder long after the walk has ended.
This is more than a ghost walk—it's an immersive evening of history, mystery and unforgettable storytelling.
Pontefract Ghost Walk
Step into one of Yorkshire's most haunted market towns and uncover the dark secrets of Pontefract. Your evening begins at The Counting House, where you'll meet The Curator before setting off on an atmospheric one-hour journey through centuries of ghostly history.
Along the way you'll visit iconic locations including the Buttercross and the imposing Magistrate's Court, hearing chilling tales of executions, restless spirits, crime and local legend. The walk concludes at The Drunken Fungus, where guests are warmly invited to stay for the venue's popular weekly quiz, making it the perfect end to an evening of mystery, history and great company.
Whether you're fascinated by the paranormal or simply love a good story, the Pontefract Ghost Walk offers a memorable glimpse into the town's haunted past.
Rotten Histories Walk
Step into a world of mystery on this magical walking tour through the streets of Wakefield! Perfect for children aged 5–12, this fun-filled adventure uncovers fascinating local history with a spooky twist. Along the way, you'll meet curious characters, hear enchanting stories, learn amazing magic tricks, and take part in interactive challenges that bring the city's past to life.
The tour begins at Wakefield Library and finishes near Merlin's Magic Shop, where young wizards can continue the adventure by discovering the secrets of real magic. Whether you're a brave explorer, a budding magician, or simply love a good story, this is a spellbinding experience the whole family will enjoy!
